Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9×5 inch loaf pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
  6. Pour half of the batter into each loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top of each, then pour the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar.
  7. Use a knife to swirl the batter and topping together gently.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
