Description

Cheesy Cob Loaf is a delicious and cheesy bread dish perfect for parties and gatherings. It’s easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser.


Ingredients

  • 1 large cob loaf
  • 250g cream cheese
  • 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped spring onions
  • 1/4 cup cooked bacon bits (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Cut the top off the cob loaf and hollow out the inside, leaving a thick shell.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, grated cheese, sour cream, spring onions, bacon bits, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Fill the hollowed cob loaf with the cheese mixture.
  5. Place the filled cob loaf on a baking tray and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Serve warm with the removed bread pieces for dipping.

  • For a vegetarian option, omit the bacon bits.
