A delicious and easy-to-make casserole that combines the flavors of traditional cabbage rolls in a convenient crockpot dish.

- 1 large head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, cooked rice, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- In the crockpot, layer half of the chopped cabbage at the bottom.
- Spread half of the meat mixture over the cabbage layer.
- Pour half of the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes over the meat mixture.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cabbage, meat mixture, and tomato sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the meat is cooked through and the cabbage is tender.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with lentils or a meat alternative.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots for extra flavor.
- This dish can be frozen for later use; just reheat before serving.
