Description

A delicious and healthy treat made with dates and walnuts, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth without the guilt.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup pitted dates
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a food processor, combine the pitted dates, walnuts, rolled oats, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt.
  3. Blend until the mixture is well combined and sticky.
  4. Line a baking dish with parchment paper and press the mixture evenly into the dish.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • Feel free to add other nuts or dried fruits for variation.
  • For a vegan option, use maple syrup instead of honey.
