- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well combined.
- Fold in the crushed pineapple and chopped pecans.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While the cake is baking, prepare the frosting by beating together the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until creamy.
- Once the cake has cooled, spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the top.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
