Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm milk, water, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture, softened butter, and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and fold it to create layers. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough again and cut into donut shapes.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the cronuts until golden brown on both sides.
- Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
