Description

A delicious fusion of traditional baklava and creamy cheesecake, topped with a sweet honey sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup pistachios, chopped
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, then press into the bottom of a springform pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Fold in the chopped pistachios.
  6. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set.
  8. While the cheesecake is baking, prepare the honey sauce by combining honey, water, and lemon juice in a saucepan over medium heat until it thickens.
  9. Let the cheesecake cool, then drizzle with honey sauce before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use roasted pistachios.
  • Allow the cheesecake to chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
  • Garnish with additional chopped pistachios if desired.
