Description

A delicious and healthy twist on traditional pizza, these pizza stuffed peppers are filled with savory ingredients and make for a perfect dinner option.


Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
  3. In a skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned.
  4. Stir in the pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Fill each bell pepper with the meat mixture.
  6. Top each pepper with shredded mozzarella cheese and sliced pepperoni.
  7. Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and cover with foil.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
