Description

A delicious and creamy roasted red pepper hummus served with warm pita bread, perfect for dipping.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, chopped
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Pita bread for serving

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, roasted red peppers, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, and salt.
  2. Blend until smooth, adding water as needed to reach desired consistency.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  4. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and drizzle with additional olive oil if desired.
  5. Serve with warm pita bread for dipping.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • This hummus can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
