Description

A delightful dish featuring shrimp and pineapple infused with sweet chili sauce for a tropical flavor experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned)
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (minced)
  • Green onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, and ginger. Mix well, add the shrimp, and coat thoroughly. Marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add marinated shrimp to the skillet, cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque.
  4. Incorporate the pineapple chunks, stirring gently and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Plate the dish, garnishing with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate shrimp a couple of hours ahead. Consider using an air fryer or roasting in the oven for a hands-off approach.
