Description

Delicious heart-shaped pancakes perfect for celebrating Valentine’s Day.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Red food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed. If desired, add a few drops of red food coloring to achieve a pink hue.
  4. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
  5. Pour the batter into a heart-shaped mold on the skillet, filling it about halfway.
  6. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then carefully flip and cook until golden brown on the other side.
  7. Repeat with the remaining batter, greasing the skillet as needed.
  8. Serve warm with syrup, whipped cream, or fresh berries.

Notes

  • Make sure to use a heart-shaped mold for the pancakes to achieve the desired shape.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar based on your sweetness preference.
  • These pancakes can be made ahead and reheated for a quick breakfast.
