Description

A vibrant and comforting pasta dish featuring ground beef, a creamy garlic yogurt sauce, and fresh cherry tomatoes, topped with paprika butter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 4 garlic cloves (grated)
  • Juice from ½ lemon
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion (diced)
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • ¼ cup butter
  • Cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Feta cheese (crumbled)
  • 12 oz cooked pasta (like fusilli or penne)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Garlic Yogurt: In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated garlic, and lemon juice. Stir until smooth and season with salt to taste. Set aside.
  2. Sauté the Base: In a large skillet, melt half the butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent. Increase heat and add ground beef, breaking it apart; cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Season the Beef: Sprinkle in sweet paprika, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir to mix thoroughly and toast the spices for about 2 minutes.
  4. Meld the Flavors: Stir in the tomato paste and simmer for another 2 minutes.
  5. Make the Paprika Butter: In a small pan, melt the remaining butter and stir in more paprika for a drizzle.
  6. Bring It All Together: In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the spiced beef mixture. Pour over the garlic yogurt and mix thoroughly.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Top with halved cherry tomatoes, fresh parsley, and crumbled feta. Serve warm, drizzled with paprika butter.

Notes

For best flavor, let the garlic yogurt rest for a few minutes before serving. Adapt the recipe to suit dietary preferences by using ground turkey or plant-based substitutes.
