- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Combine the mashed bananas, milk, egg, and vanilla extract in a large bowl and blend well.
- Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon together in another bowl.
- Combine the wet mixture with the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil to 350°F in a deep pot.
- Fry small amounts of dough for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar while warm.
Notes
Ensure the bananas are overly ripe for the best sweetness. Avoid overmixing the batter for light and fluffy donut holes.
