Description

A savory and comforting dish featuring tender beef and crisp broccoli in a rich, flavorful sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef (sliced thinly)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Begin by mixing soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ginger in a bowl.
  2. Add the beef to the marinade, ensuring each slice is coated, and let it soak for about 15 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in your wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. When the oil shimmers, add the marinated beef, spreading it out in a single layer for even cooking.
  5. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until the beef is nicely browned and cooked through.
  6. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
  7. In the same skillet, toss in your broccoli florets, followed by a splash of water.
  8. Cover the pan to steam for 2-3 minutes until the broccoli turns bright green and retains a tender-crisp texture.
  9. Return the cooked beef to the skillet, and toss everything together for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  10. Plate your fragrant Beef and Broccoli over a generous scoop of cooked rice.

Notes

For best results, marinate the beef for 15 minutes. Feel free to customize with additional vegetables or protein substitutes.
