Description
A savory and comforting dish featuring tender beef and crisp broccoli in a rich, flavorful sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb beef (sliced thinly)
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon ginger (minced)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- Begin by mixing soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ginger in a bowl.
- Add the beef to the marinade, ensuring each slice is coated, and let it soak for about 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in your wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
- When the oil shimmers, add the marinated beef, spreading it out in a single layer for even cooking.
- Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until the beef is nicely browned and cooked through.
- Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, toss in your broccoli florets, followed by a splash of water.
- Cover the pan to steam for 2-3 minutes until the broccoli turns bright green and retains a tender-crisp texture.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet, and toss everything together for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Plate your fragrant Beef and Broccoli over a generous scoop of cooked rice.
Notes
For best results, marinate the beef for 15 minutes. Feel free to customize with additional vegetables or protein substitutes.
