- 1.5 lbs Beef Tips (Sirloin or Chuck)
- 1 Onion, Chopped
- 2 Cups Beef Broth
- 1/4 Cup Flour
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- Mashed Potatoes, Rice, or Egg Noodles for Serving
Instructions
- Heat Olive Oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Sauté Onion until translucent and golden, about 5 minutes.
- Season the beef tips with salt and pepper, then dust lightly with flour.
- Sear the beef tips until browned on all sides, about 4-5 minutes each side.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping the browned bits from the bottom.
- Simmer the mixture, cover, and reduce heat to low for about 1 hour or until the beef is fork-tender.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.
Notes
For a lighter version, swap beef broth for vegetable broth. Add red wine for depth.
