Description

A comforting dish of bowtie pasta and ground beef enveloped in a rich tomato sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 oz jar of tomato sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Bowtie Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Brown it, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Sauté Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the beef and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add Tomato Sauce: Pour in the tomato sauce and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Fold the cooked bowtie pasta into the sauce, stirring gently until well coated.
  6. Serve: Dish out the pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey or chicken. Add vegetables for extra nutrition.
