Description

Crispy and delicious broccoli fritters that surprise and delight with their cheesy, fresh flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli, finely chopped
  • 1 cup grated cheese (e.g., cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing your workspace. Grab a large mixing bowl and toss in the chopped broccoli, grated cheese, breadcrumbs, eggs, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper. Mix until a cohesive mixture forms.
  2. Heat oil in your frying pan over medium heat until it shimmers.
  3. Form small patties from the mixture, about 2-3 inches wide, and place them into the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
  4. Fry each side for 3-4 minutes until golden-brown and crispy on the outside while remaining soft inside.
  5. Transfer the fritters to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces and enjoy!

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute eggs with a flax egg and use dairy-free cheese.
