- 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (about 8–10 pounds)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Score the surface of the ham with shallow diagonal cuts in a diamond pattern.
- Mix in a bowl brown sugar, honey, orange juice, Dijon mustard, cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper until the brown sugar dissolves.
- Prepare the roasting pan and brush the ham generously with the glaze.
- Bake it covered with foil for 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 20 minutes with the reserved glaze.
- Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes for caramelization.
- Check for an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C), then let it rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Make-ahead tip: Prepare the glaze a day prior for enhanced flavor. Avoid skipping the scoring step for better glaze penetration.
