- 1 fully cooked bone-in ham
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Prepare the glaze: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together brown sugar, honey, orange juice, Dijon mustard, ground ginger, and ground cloves until smooth.
- Place the ham flat-side down in a roasting pan. Score the surface in a diamond pattern.
- Brush the glaze generously over the surface of the ham.
- Cover loosely with aluminum foil to keep the ham moist.
- Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
- Remove foil for the last 30 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
- Check the internal temperature: it should reach 140°F (60°C).
- Let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
