Description

A savory stir fry combining tender beef and pork with crunchy cabbage and aromatic garlic and ginger.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the minced garlic and ginger, stirring until fragrant—this should take about 30 seconds.
  3. Toss in the ground beef and pork, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the chopped cabbage and any optional vegetables. Sauté until the cabbage wilts, approximately 5-7 minutes.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, mixing thoroughly to coat everything.
  6. Taste and season with salt and pepper as desired.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

Consider chopping vegetables ahead of time for a quicker prep. Customizable with other veggies or protein alternatives.
