- 4 cups Yams or Sweet Potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, melted
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

- 1/2 cup Water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel and slice the yams into rounds, about half an inch thick.
- Melt the butter in a baking dish, then mix in brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt until well blended.
- Add the yams to the baking dish, layering them evenly.
- Pour the buttery mixture over the yams, ensuring each slice is coated.
- Add water to the bottom of the dish to keep the yams moist.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and caramelized.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
You can prep the yams a day in advance and cover them tightly in the refrigerator. When ready to bake, bring them to room temperature for even cooking.
