Description

A delightful dish featuring cheese tortellini and succulent shrimp in a rich lemon garlic cream sauce, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz Cheese Tortellini
  • 1 lb Shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 cloves Fresh Garlic (minced)
  • Zest of 1 Lemon
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese (grated)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley (chopped)
  • Salt & Black Pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the Tortellini: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the tortellini until they float to the top. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add minced garlic, stirring gently.
  3. Add Shrimp: Toss shrimp into the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Prepare the Sauce: Pour in heavy cream and lemon zest, stirring to combine and letting it thicken slightly.
  5. Season: Add salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Combine Tortellini and Sauce: Gently fold the cooked tortellini into the skillet until well coated.
  7. Serve: Plate the dish, garnish with parsley and Parmesan, and enjoy!

Notes

For a lighter sauce, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half. You can also customize by adding sautéed spinach or sun-dried tomatoes.
