Description

Juicy chicken koftas grilled to perfection, served with a creamy garlic yogurt sauce that elevates every bite.


Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground chicken
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, fresh parsley, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Shape the mixture into small oval-shaped koftas, approximately the size of a golf ball.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat, brushing the grates with olive oil.
  4. Grill the koftas for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Mix the yogurt, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl for the garlic yogurt sauce.
  6. Serve the grilled koftas warm with the garlic yogurt sauce on the side.

Notes

Make-ahead: Prepare the kofta mixture a day in advance and store in the fridge. Cooking alternatives: Use an air fryer at 375°F for a crispy finish.
