Description

A comforting cake infused with cinnamon and topped with a creamy cream cheese drizzle, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan by greasing and flouring it.
  2. Combine the yellow cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into your prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  4. Mix the sugar and ground cinnamon in another bowl, then sprinkle it evenly over the cake batter.
  5. Swirl through the cinnamon sugar with a knife to incorporate it into the batter.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes.
  7. Poke holes all over the top using the handle of a wooden spoon.
  8. Beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth. Pour this over the cake.
  9. Chill the cake in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

You can customize the cake by adding nuts or drizzling caramel over the top before serving. Allowing the cake to chill improves its flavor.
