Description

A comforting dish featuring cheese tortellini coated in a rich cream sauce with deeply seared steak, garlic, and Parmesan.


Ingredients

  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • Salt & Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Tortellini: Boil a large pot of salted water and add the tortellini. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 3–5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sear the Steak: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat, season the steak, and sear for 4–5 minutes on each side. Let rest.
  3. Make the Creamhouse Sauce: Lower the heat, melt butter, sauté minced garlic for 1 minute, then add heavy cream and whole milk. Whisk in Parmesan until melted.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Toss tortellini into the sauce, add sliced steak, and mix to coat.
  5. Finishing Touches: Top with parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper. Serve immediately.

Notes

Consider using frozen tortellini for convenience and optional add-ins like sautéed spinach for extra nutrients.
