Description

Irresistible creamy dessert wontons with a crispy exterior and a luscious cream cheese filling, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Wonton Wrappers
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup Mini Chocolate Chips (optional)
  • Vegetable Oil (for frying)
  • Powdered Sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Combine the cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. Lay a wonton wrapper flat and add a teaspoon of filling in the center.
  3. Wet the edges, fold over to seal, and press out any air pockets.
  4. Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to around 350°F.
  5. Fry the wontons for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Remove the wontons and let them drain on paper towels; dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For a healthier option, consider baking or air frying the wontons. Customize the filling with flavors like fruit purees or spices.
