- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions
- Combine the granulated sugar, heavy cream, and unsalted butter in a medium saucepan.
- Stir constantly over medium heat until the mixture reaches a gentle boil.
- Allow it to bubble away for about 5 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped pecans, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Scoop generous spoonfuls onto wax paper or a silicone mat.
- Allow to cool and set completely before serving.
