Instructions
- Preheat the oil: In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the oil to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and baking powder.
- Dry off the wings: Pat the chicken wings thoroughly with paper towels.
- Coat the wings: Dredge each wing in the flour mixture, shaking off excess flour.
- Fry the wings: Carefully place the wings in the hot oil, frying for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- Drain excess oil: Remove the wings and let them drain on paper towels.
- Optional saucing: Toss the fried wings in sauce while hot, if desired.
