Description

Delight in soft, chewy Frosted Sugar Cookie Bars topped with creamy frosting and colorful sprinkles, perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • Sprinkles (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare your 9×13 inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Combine dry ingredients by whisking together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Cream the butter and sugars in another bowl using an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, then beat in the vanilla extract for extra flavor.
  5. Combine the wet and dry mixtures, folding until just mixed.
  6. Spread the dough into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool completely in the pan before frosting.
  9. Prepare the frosting by beating cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  10. Frost the cooled bars with the frosting and top with sprinkles.
  11. Slice into squares and serve.

Notes

Pre-measuring ingredients can help streamline your baking process. You can use an air fryer to bake these bars if short on time.
