Description

A delightful baked treat featuring gooey mozzarella wrapped in fluffy dough, infused with garlic and butter.


Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Allow this mixture to sit for 5 minutes until it bubbles and foams.
  2. Make the dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, knead until smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Let it rise: Cover the bowl with a towel or plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm spot for about an hour until doubled in size.
  4. Prepare for baking: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Shape the bombs: Punch down the dough, divide into pieces, flatten each, and add mozzarella in the center, sealing well.
  6. Arrange on a baking sheet, giving them space.
  7. Brush with garlic butter: Mix melted butter with minced garlic and parsley, then brush over each dough ball.
  8. Bake them up: Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
