- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
Instructions
- Heat your skillet: Begin by pouring the olive oil into a large skillet over medium heat.
- Sauté aromatics: Add in the diced onion and green bell pepper, sautéing for about 3-4 minutes.
- Add garlic and mushrooms: Stir in the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
- Brown the beef: Turn up the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks for about 5-7 minutes.
- Simmer the goodness: Reduce the heat, then add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, seasoning with salt and pepper. Let simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Melt the cheese: Uncover, place provolone cheese atop, turn off the heat, and cover for a couple of minutes.
- Serve and savor: Scoop the mixture onto hamburger buns and enjoy immediately.
