Description

A delightful dish of ground lamb stuffed in pita, grilled to perfection with a burst of spices and crispy texture.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 2 pita breads
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for brushing
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground lamb, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix well until evenly incorporated.
  2. Cut each pita bread in half to create pockets.
  3. Stuff the lamb mixture into each pita pocket, pressing to secure the filling.
  4. Preheat your grill over medium heat and brush lightly with olive oil.
  5. Grill the stuffed pitas for about 4–5 minutes on each side, until cooked through and golden brown.
  6. Remove from the grill and garnish with fresh parsley before serving hot.

Notes

Make the lamb mixture a day in advance for added flavor. You can also bake or air fry if grilling isn’t possible.
