Instructions
- Cook Spaghetti: Begin by cooking the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Once al dente, drain and set aside.
- Brown the Beef: In a large pot or skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and brown the ground beef until crispy. Use a wooden spoon to break it up.
- Sauté Onions and Garlic: Add chopped onions and minced garlic, cooking until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Simmer with Tomatoes: Stir in diced tomatoes with juices and Italian seasoning. Bring to simmer and allow to meld flavors for about 10 minutes.
- Combine with Spaghetti: Mix the cooked spaghetti into the sauce, tossing gently to coat.
- Add Bell Peppers (Optional): If using, add sliced bell peppers and toss to combine.
- Serve Hot: Dish out into bowls, garnish with grated Parmesan and parsley. Serve with crusty bread.
