Instructions
- Prepare the angel food cake according to package instructions; allow it to cool completely.
- Whisk the pudding mix with the milk until thickened.
- Fold in the whipped cream gently.
- Layer half of the cake pieces in a trifle dish.
- Add half of the pudding mixture over the cake, followed by half of the cherry filling.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, pudding, and cherry filling.
- Top with whipped cream and optional nuts.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
