Instructions
- Heat the skillet: Begin by heating the olive oil in your skillet over medium heat until it shimmers invitingly.
- Season the chicken: Generously season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and oregano.
- Cook the chicken: Place the seasoned chicken in your hot skillet. Cook for about 6-7 minutes until golden brown on one side. Flip and continue cooking for an additional 5-7 minutes until fully cooked.
- Let it rest: Remove the chicken and allow it to rest for about 5 minutes.
- Sauté the garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Stir in lemon: Add the lemon juice and zest.
- Return the chicken: Place the rested chicken back in the skillet.
- Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For deeper flavor, marinate the chicken a day in advance. Can substitute chicken thighs for juicier meat.
