Description

A refreshing and indulgent dessert that layers fluffy pound cake, zesty lemon pudding, juicy strawberries, and airy whipped cream for a delightful experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound strawberries, sliced
  • 2 cups lemon pudding
  • 1 pound pound cake, cubed
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • Mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by layering half of the cubed pound cake at the bottom of your trifle dish.
  2. Pour half of the lemon pudding over the pound cake, and gently spread it with a spatula.
  3. Next, layer half of the sliced strawberries atop the pudding.
  4. Spread half of the whipped cream over the strawberries.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients: cake, pudding, strawberries, and whipped cream.
  6. Cap off your masterpiece with a generous layer of whipped cream.
  7. Sprinkle lemon zest on top for a finishing touch.
  8. Chill your trifle in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes before serving.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Chill overnight to enhance flavors. Avoid freezing; cream and pudding don’t hold up well in the freezer.
