- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for icing)
- Purple, green, and gold sanding sugar (for decoration)
- 1 small plastic baby (optional)
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by mixing warm milk, yeast, and 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Mix the remaining sugar, eggs, softened butter, and salt in a bowl. Add the yeast mixture and 3 cups of flour, mixing until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5 to 7 minutes, incorporating the 1 teaspoon cinnamon until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 to 1.5 hours until doubled in size.
- Prepare the filling by combining brown sugar, 2 tablespoons cinnamon, and melted butter.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle, brush with melted butter, and evenly spread the filling.
- Roll dough tightly, form into a ring, and let rise for 30 to 45 minutes.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 to 35 minutes until golden brown. Allow cooling on a wire rack.
- Make the glaze by whisking powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Decorate with glaze and sanding sugars.
