- 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes

- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Parmesan cheese for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until even.
- Gradually pour in the warm water and olive oil, stirring until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for one hour.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Combine crushed tomatoes, minced garlic, and dried oregano in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Punch down the risen dough and spread it evenly in a greased baking pan.
- Pour the tomato sauce over the dough and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Cool for a few minutes before slicing into squares and serving.
Notes
For a make-ahead option, refrigerate the dough overnight after it rises. Let it return to room temperature before baking.
