Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  3. Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar to the melted butter, whisking until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  5. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt, folding gently to combine.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  9. Let the brownies cool in the pan for 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, use coconut oil instead of butter. You can also substitute granulated sugar with coconut sugar for a unique flavor.
