- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup diced green onions
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Buns (store-bought or homemade)
- Butter for brushing (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the shredded chicken, cheese, mayonnaise, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Cut the buns in half and fill each with the chicken mixture.
- Place the filled buns on a baking sheet, leaving space between them.
- Optionally, brush the tops with melted butter.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the buns are golden and the cheese is melted.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For make-ahead preparation, store the chicken mixture in the refrigerator until ready to fill the buns. You can also use an air fryer for quicker cooking.
