- 1 lb fresh salmon, cooked and flaked
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Chopped herbs (like dill or parsley) for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine the cooked salmon, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, garlic powder, egg, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
- Form the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
- Place them evenly spaced on a prepared baking sheet.
- Bake the salmon balls for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown, flipping halfway.
- Prepare the creamy avocado sauce by blending the avocado, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Serve warm alongside the avocado sauce for dipping, garnished with fresh herbs.
Notes
You can make the salmon mixture a day in advance and keep it in the fridge. For a quicker method, use an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 12-14 minutes.
