- 1 lb Italian Sausage
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 28 oz Canned Tomatoes (whole or crushed)
- 15 oz Tomato Sauce
- 8 oz Pasta (spaghetti or penne)
- 1 tsp Basil (fresh or dried)
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- ½ cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Toss in the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the Italian sausage, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the canned tomatoes and tomato sauce, season with salt, pepper, and basil. Let simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss until well-coated with the sauce.
- Serve in bowls, garnished with Parmesan cheese.
