- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of warm water
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
Instructions
- Combine sourdough starter, warm water, and olive oil in a large mixing bowl until fully blended.
- Crack the egg into the mixture, ensuring it integrates smoothly.
- Introduce the flour, salt, and sugar gradually while mixing until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Transfer the kneaded dough to a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise for 4-6 hours until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Shape the risen dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan, then let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and hollow sounding when tapped.
- Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
