- 1 box vanilla cake mix
- 1 can strawberry pie filling
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup water or milk
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- Fresh strawberries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl.
- Grease your baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- Layer the strawberry pie filling evenly on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry filling.
- Mix the cake mix with water or milk and melted butter in another bowl.
- Pour the cake batter over the cream cheese layer.
- Bake for about 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow the cake to cool on a wire rack, then chill before serving.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries before serving.
