Description

A delightful cake with layers of velvety custard and fresh strawberries, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • 1/2 cup Sugar (for Custard)
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 4 large Egg Yolks
  • 2 cups Fresh Strawberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your cake pans.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
  5. Combine flour mixture and milk alternately into the batter.
  6. Bake the cake layers for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Prepare the custard by cooking sugar, cornstarch, yolks, and milk until thickened.
  8. Cool the cakes, layer with custard and strawberries, and chill.
