- 1 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 3 large Eggs
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup Whole Milk
- 1/2 cup Sugar (for Custard)
- 2 tbsp Cornstarch
- 4 large Egg Yolks
- 2 cups Fresh Strawberries
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your cake pans.
- Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
- Combine flour mixture and milk alternately into the batter.
- Bake the cake layers for 25-30 minutes.
- Prepare the custard by cooking sugar, cornstarch, yolks, and milk until thickened.
- Cool the cakes, layer with custard and strawberries, and chill.
