Description

A vibrant and refreshing salsa combining juicy strawberries and tropical pineapple, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup strawberries, diced
  • 1 cup pineapple, diced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, minced (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the fruits thoroughly: Rinse both the strawberries and pineapple under cold water.
  2. Dice the strawberries and chop the pineapple: Cut them into small, bite-sized pieces.
  3. Mix the fruits in a bowl: Combine the diced strawberries and pineapple in a medium-sized bowl.
  4. Squeeze lime juice and add ingredients: Pour lime juice over the fruits, then add cilantro and jalapeño, if using.
  5. Gently mix: Stir the ingredients carefully, avoiding mashing the fruits. Season with salt.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator: Cover and let sit for at least 15 minutes to meld flavors.
  7. Serve and garnish: Enjoy with tortilla chips, grilled fish, or chicken, and garnish with mint leaves if desired.

Notes

This salsa can be made ahead of time for enhanced flavor. Adjust jalapeño to modify spice levels.
