- 24 Ladyfingers
- 1 cup Strawberry Syrup
- 1 cup Mascarpone Cheese
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- Zest of 1 Lemon or Orange
- 1 cup Fresh Strawberries, sliced
- Cocoa Powder, for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare the Strawberry Syrup: In a medium saucepan, combine sliced strawberries and sugar over low heat until syrupy, about 10 minutes. Let cool.
- Dip each ladyfinger quickly in the strawberry syrup and arrange half in a layer on the bottom of your serving dish.
- Mix the mascarpone with vanilla extract and citrus zest in a bowl until smooth and creamy.
- Layer half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Add a layer of fresh strawberry slices over the mascarpone.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and finish with more strawberries on top.
- Dust the top with cocoa powder.
- Chill the dish loosely covered in the refrigerator for at least four hours or overnight.
- Serve cold and enjoy the refreshing taste of summer.
Notes
Allowing the tiramisu to chill overnight enhances the flavor. You can substitute different fruits or add chocolate shavings for a twist.
