- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup seasoned stuffing mix
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup (for glaze)
- 1 tbsp brown sugar (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix together the ground beef, seasoned stuffing mix, milk, chopped onion, green bell pepper, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Pour the glaze made of ketchup and brown sugar over the meatloaf.
- Bake for one hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Rest for several minutes before slicing.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken. For a vegetarian version, use lentils or a meat alternative.
