Description

A refreshing Tuna Pasta Salad that combines al dente pasta with creamy dressing, crunchy vegetables, and the zest of lemon, perfect for summer picnics and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces pasta (elbow, rotini, or penne)
  • 1 can of tuna, drained
  • 1 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt/avocado for a lighter alternative)
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/2 cup red onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water for 8-10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain it in a colander and set aside to cool.
  2. Combine the cooled pasta, drained tuna, mayonnaise, chopped celery, red onion, frozen peas, and lemon juice in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mix gently with a spatula or salad spoon until everything is beautifully combined.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Prepare the salad a day in advance for richer flavor. Customize with your favorite mix-ins.
